Ghana’s national U-15 boys’ team has begun their campaign at the ongoing Mundialito tournament in Eilat, Israel, with two convincing victories.
The team opened their tournament on a strong note with a 4-1 win over Maccabi Tel Aviv’s U-15 side. Yaw Preko’s side followed it up with a dominant 8-0 triumph against Maccabi Bnei Eilat, placing them in a strong position for qualification to the final.
Ghana is scheduled to play against Maccabi Petah Tikva and Hapoel Petah Tikva on Saturday, April 5, 2025, in their remaining group fixtures.
Their two wins on Friday have significantly boosted their chances of reaching the final, which is also set to take place on Saturday night.
The Mundialito tournament is widely regarded as a platform for youth development and cultural exchange.
It has a reputation for producing future professionals, with over 1,000 past participants progressing to careers in football.
