The Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA), under the coordination of the International Affairs Secretariat, has opened submissions for event proposals for the 2025 edition of December in GH, a tourism campaign that highlights Ghana’s cultural heritage, entertainment industry, and hospitality.

In a statement, the GTA said it is inviting individuals, event organizers, and institutions to submit proposals for events and activities that will take place from December 1, 2025, to January 3, 2026.

According to the GTA, the deadline for submission of proposals is Monday, June 16, 2025, and each event must be submitted on a separate form to be considered for official endorsement.

The December in GH initiative was first launched in 2019 as part of the Year of Return campaign and has since become an annual highlight on Ghana’s cultural calendar, attracting tourists, Ghanaians in the diaspora, and creatives from around the world.

According to the GTA, the 2025 edition of December in GH will continue the tradition of celebrating Ghana’s culture, heritage, entertainment, and hospitality, making the country a hub of activity during the festive season.

“The Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) is pleased to announce the official call for event proposals for the 2025 edition of December in GH. December in GH is a flagship initiative launched by the Ghana Tourism Authority to position Ghana as the premier destination for the Christmas holiday season. This unique package of curated events and programs showcases Ghana’s rich culture, vibrant entertainment scene, and warm hospitality,” the GTA said.
