Ghana’s national U-17 women’s team, the Black Maidens, are set to begin their qualification campaign for the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup with a two-legged clash against Togo in the first round.

The opening leg of the tie is scheduled to take place on April 12, 2026 in Lomé, where the Maidens will aim to secure a positive result away from home. The return fixture will follow six days later, on April 18, 2026, at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The two matches will determine which side progresses to the next stage of the qualifiers, as both teams look to move closer to securing a place on the global stage. Ghana, known for its strong pedigree in women’s youth football, will be hoping to maintain its impressive record in the competition.

Preparations are expected to intensify in the coming weeks as the technical team finalizes its squad and strategy for the crucial encounters against their West African neighbours.
