The Ghana Football Association has confirmed that the Black Stars will play Mexico in an international friendly as part of preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The fixture becomes the third confirmed warm-up match for Otto Addo’s side ahead of the tournament in June. For Ghana, the friendly presents a useful dress rehearsal ahead of their Group L opener against Panama, who share a similar regional football profile to Mexico. The Black Stars face Panama on June 17 in Toronto before taking on England and Croatia in their remaining group matches.
