Ghana international, Francis Abu, delivered an outstanding performance to help Cercle Brugge secure an important away stalemate against Sporting Charleroi on Saturday.
The Black Stars midfielder started and played full throttle of the match as Cercle Brugge held their opponent to a 1-1 draw at the Stade du Pays de Charleroi.
Francis Abu played a pivotal role by providing an assist, contributing to Cercle Brugge’s stalemate in matchday 23 of the Belgium Jupiler Pro League.
The home team opened the floodgate, just twelve minutes into the game after Parfait Guiagon found the net following Isaac Mbenza’s assist.
In the 35th minute, the visitors levelled the score through Thibo Somers after he was set up by the Ghanaian international. And with no additional goal, the much-anticipated clash ended in a draw.
The 23-year-old has been impressive for Cercle Brugge in the Belgium top flight. He has racked up 23 games and provided four assists across the period.
