Ghanaian fashion critic Charlie Dior has once again addressed rumours questioning his sexuality.
During the Girls Aloud podcast, one of the hosts directly asked Dior about the speculation surrounding his sexuality, a subject that has often shadowed his public image.
Although Charlie Dior is known for his confidence and outspoken personality, his initial reaction to the question was visibly discomforting.
After pausing briefly, he clarified that the topic is a boundary he prefers to maintain.
“I don’t think Ghana is ready for that conversation,” Dior stated as he explained that his reluctance was not rooted in fear or personal insecurity but stemmed from an understanding of the societal context in which he operates.
Dior elaborated, saying, “It’s not about me; it’s about the readiness of the society I’m part of. I won’t have a conversation that people aren’t prepared to handle.”
Despite his refusal to confirm or deny the rumours, Charley Dior emphasised that he is unbothered by such claims.
“People will always have something to say,” he remarked with a smile. “But that doesn’t define who I am or my work,” he stated.
