    Ghana coach Otto Addo has handed a debut call-up to a former Burnley youth team attacker as he announces his 26-man squad to face Germany and Austria later in March 2026.

    The West African powerhouse will take on Austria on Saturday, March 28, 2026 at the Ernst Happel Stadion in Vienna before facing Germany two days later at the MHPArena Stuttgart in pre-World Cup friendlies.

    Agyei has netted 4 times in 23 SuperLig appearances for Kocaelispor and will be hoping to impress the Ghana head coach and earn a spot in the Ghana squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

    Head coach Otto Addo has decided to blood in some new faces into his squad and has handed a debut call-up to 28-year-old right-winger Daniel Agyei who plies his trade in Turkey with Kocaelispor.

    Agyei, who was born in England, started his youth career at Wimbledon before earning a transfer to Burnley in 2015.

    After impressing in the Professional Development League with the Burnley U23 side Agyei appeared in the matchday squad three times for Burnley during the 2016/17 season.

    He is one of the four debutantes named by Otto Addo for the friendly games.
