GFA has confirmed that Eleven Wonders is now Legon Cities GFA has confirmed that Eleven Wonders is now Legon Cities

Legon Cities, who were relegated after finishing 17th in the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season, will continue to compete in the top flight following a takeover of Techiman Eleven Wonders.

The ownership change means Eleven Wonders have now been rebranded as Legon Cities, allowing the Accra-based club to retain a slot in the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League.

Confirming the news in an interview on Sporty FM, Ghana Football Association (GFA) Communications Director, Henry Asante Twum, explained, “There’s a change of ownership. Eleven Wonders is now Legon Cities, and they will play in Accra.”

Eleven Wonders had secured promotion to the top flight after a 2-1 playoff victory over Real Tamale United at the Accra Sports Stadium. But with the change of ownership, they will now compete under the Legon Cities name in the upcoming campaign.

Legon Cities relegated after 4–1 defeat to title-chasing Nations FC

This twist ensures that Legon Cities, despite suffering relegation, will feature once again in the Ghana Premier League, albeit through the rebranded identity of Eleven Wonders.

It is not the first time the club has undergone a transformation. Originally founded as Wa All Stars, the club was rebranded as Legon Cities in 2019 following a change of ownership.
