Ghana’s senior women’s national team, the Black Queens, will begin their campaign for a place at the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games from the second round of the African qualifiers.

The team has been drawn to face the winner of the first-round clash between Mauritius and Djibouti, as they aim to secure qualification for the global showpiece. By entering the competition at this stage, the Black Queens will avoid the preliminary round and have additional time to prepare for their opening fixture.

The upcoming qualifiers present a crucial opportunity for Ghana to return to the Olympic stage, with the technical team expected to assemble a strong squad capable of navigating the challenges ahead.

Attention will now turn to preparations, as the Black Queens await the outcome of the Mauritius versus Djibouti tie to determine their next opponents.
