Ghana international defender Abdul Rahman Baba was on target for PAOK FC in their comeback triumph over Asteras Tripolis in the Greek Super League on November 24, 2024.

The left-back netted the match-winner for his side as they rallied from a goal down to claim a 2-1 victory at Theodoros Kolokotronis Stadium.

With the win, PAOK consolidated their second position on the league standings after 12 rounds of matches.

Despite dominating the first half, the visitors failed to get the breakthrough before Asteras opened the scoring in the second half through Italian forward Federico Macheda just a few minutes after the interval.

Bulgaria midfielder Kiril Desposdov restored the game’s parity in the 68th minute.

As PAOK were drawing the game, Baba was introduced in the 75th minute when he replaced Spanish defender Joan Sastre.

Baba scored ten minutes later to complete the comeback for PAOK after he connected a pass from Russia international Fedor Chalov, claiming the maximum points of the match.

The Ghanaian has been in remarkable form since the beginning of the 2024-25 campaign. Baba has six goals and one assist in 19 appearances across all competitions.
