The Ghana Boxing Interim Management Committee (IMC) has stated that its ability to keep boxing activities in Ghana running despite challenges is a major achievement, following the extension of its mandate.

The committee, which worked from September 2025 to February 2026, noted that it sanctioned numerous international boxing bouts to keep Ghana visible on the global stage.

It also indicated that it revised medical and anti-doping protocols to ensure boxers are fit for bouts, thereby promoting fairness.

On the election phase, nominations, vetting, campaigns, congress and elections will take place on June 2, while the official handover is scheduled for June 4, 2026.
