The Ghana Boxing Federation (GBF) on Thursday unveiled a new official logo at the Media Centre of the Accra Sports Stadium, describing it as the start of a fresh chapter for amateur boxing in the country.

The ceremony drew members of the federation’s executive board, finalists from the 2025 National Individual Amateur Boxing Championship, and officials from the Ghana Olympic Committee and the National Sports Authority, alongside traditional leaders.

The redesigned logo features “Boxing” in bold black at the center, with “Ghana” in green and “Federation” in red to reflect the national colours. A boxer raising a punch crowns the emblem, while wings form its base. GBF Treasurer Mustapha Nettey said the colours symbolize growth, pride and ambition, while the wings represent a platform for athletes to rise from amateur to professional ranks.

GBF President Dauda Fuseni said the rebrand goes beyond aesthetics, noting that it reflects identity, vision and renewed focus on grassroots development, governance reforms and strategic partnerships.

NSA Director-General Yaw Ampofo Ankrah praised the initiative and urged greater support for amateur boxing.

The event coincided with the final stages of the 2025 national championship, as the federation seeks stronger corporate backing.
