The Ghana Bloggers Association has expressed deep sorrow over the tragic military helicopter crash in the Adansi area of the Ashanti Region, which claimed the lives of eight prominent individuals, including high-ranking government officials and military personnel.

In an official statement, the Association extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families, the Government of Ghana, and the nation at large. Describing the incident as a “devastating loss,” the Association paid tribute to the victims, acknowledging their dedicated service to the country.

    Among the deceased are:

Dr. Edward Kofi Omane Boamah, Minister for Defence

Alhaji Dr. Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed, Minister for Environment, Science, and Technology

Alhaji Muniru Mohammed Limuna, Acting Deputy National Security Coordinator

Samuel Sarpong, Vice Chairman of the NDC and former Ashanti and Central Regional Minister

    Samuel Aboagye, Former Parliamentary Candidate

    Squadron Leader Peter Bafemi Anala

    Flying Officer Amaning Twum Ampadu

    Sergeant Ernest Addo Mensah

As the nation comes to terms with the tragic event, the Association called on all media outlets, bloggers, and digital content creators to exercise restraint and sensitivity in their coverage.

“We strongly urge media practitioners to refrain from circulating distressing footage that could aggravate the pain of those left behind,” said Andre Mustapha Nii Okai Inusah, also known as Attractive Mustapha, President of the Ghana Bloggers Association.

The statement emphasized the need for responsible journalism and cautioned against sensationalism, urging content creators to prioritize dignity and compassion over viral engagement.

“In these trying times, let us choose respect over sensationalism, truth over speculation, and compassion over clicks,” the Association urged.

The Ghana Bloggers Association concluded by honoring the fallen heroes and praying for their souls to rest in perfect peace.
