The awards ceremony, held over the weekend, brought together international athletes, coaches, and officials to celebrate remarkable achievements and contributions to the sport.

In March 2024, Ghana successfully hosted the 13th Africa Games, where the athletics events took center stage. The competitions were widely praised for their exceptional organization, impressive attendance, and enthusiastic public support.
