    The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has announced that Ghana and Singapore will continue to maintain their Visa Waiver Agreement.

    According to him, this agreement is aimed at deepening the cooperation between the two countries particularly in trade, skills education and IT.

    In a post shared on Ablakwa’s X page as sighted by GhanaWeb Business after meeting with the High Commissioner of Singapore to Ghana, Hawa Daipi, Ablakwa expressed gratitude for the long-standing peaceful cooperation between the two countries.

    “I thank the High Commissioner on behalf of President Mahama and the people of Ghana for the special invitation from Singapore President, H.E. Tharman Shanmugaratnam to President John Mahama to pay a state visit to Singapore” he posted.

    The Singaporean High Commissioner to Ghana, Hawa Diapi, also acknowledged the relation between the two countries and pledged his country’s commitment to foster a more peaceful and lasting cooperation.
