The Ghana Music Rights Organisation (GHAMRO) has joined the nation in mourning the eight prominent Ghanaians who perished in the tragic helicopter crash on August 6, 2025.

In a statement released on August 11, 2025, the music collective described the departed individuals as “heroes whose legacies shaped Ghana’s political, security, and environmental landscape.”

GHAMRO noted that it had laid a wreath in honour of their contributions and to express condolences to the families and loved ones of the deceased.

“Their impact will forever echo through the policies, the music, the arts, and the lives they touched in making this nation a place worthy of its people’s dreams,” the statement read.

The crash claimed the lives of high-profile figures, including Defence Minister Dr Edward Omane Boamah and Environment Minister Dr Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed.

On August 9, 2025, a candlelight vigil was held in honor of the individuals.
