Ghanaian music artiste Sheikh Ghali Okyem, known in music circles as Ghaligary, has released a new hip hop single titled “Shipdealer”, which is currently gaining attention within the local music scene.
Born on February 9, 1997, Ghaligary hails from Kumasi in the Ashanti Region.
He is an alumnus of Prempeh College and later pursued tertiary education at the University of Ghana, where he graduated from the School of Business.
Before venturing into music, he had a background in football during his formative years, though that path did not advance to the professional level.
He has since shifted focus to music, drawing inspiration from hip hop and afrobeats.
In a statement, the artiste indicated that the release of “Shipdealer” marks a significant step in his musical journey.
“It’s something I have worked on for a while, and seeing people vibe with it makes the effort worthwhile,” he said.
Ghaligary’s entry into the industry adds to the growing wave of young Ghanaian artists contributing to the country’s evolving soundscape.
