The family of late Ghanaian socialite, Philipha Frimpong, popularly known as Yaa Baby, has expressed dissatisfaction with TikToker, GH Kobby, after it was reported in the news that their daughter has been shot dead.

It may be recalled that GhanaWeb, in its earlier news, reported the shooting incident that occurred at Yeji, where three individuals: GH Kobby, Kwadwo Emmanuel (Ashawo), and Michael Kabutey, were seen having a meal with the victim before the tragic event unfolded.

Unclear what led to the shooting, eyewitnesses alleged that all they saw was that Kobby retrieved a gun from his vehicle, aimed at Yaa Baby, and fatally shot her.

In a recent development, the grandmother of Yaa Baby has accused GH Kobby of luring her granddaughter to the funeral ceremony of the late Mamponghene just to kill her.

According to Adwoa Sarfowaa, her late granddaughter was a good girl who always stays away from trouble.

“Philipha is a good girl… When she finished SHS, I was with her always… Per my knowledge, the boy lured my daughter to Mamponghene’s funeral and also dragged her to Yeji to kill her,” she said.

Yaa Baby’s grandmother further noted that she had not set eyes on GH Kobby before.

According to her, she only got to know him after news broke out that her granddaughter had been murdered.

“I have not set eyes on him before. If not for the news where people showed his pictures with me on the phone, I wouldn’t have seen him. She never complained to me that a man has beaten or maltreated her before,” she added.

Meanwhile, all three individuals are currently in police custody, assisting with investigations.
