The Ghana Free Zones Authority (GFZA) has hosted the Chief Executive Officer of Tüzun Transformer Group, Mehet Tüzun, and his delegation from Türkiye, in a meeting aimed at deepening trade and investment ties.

The visit provided an opportunity to discuss the Free Zones concept, Ghana’s investment climate, and potential areas of collaboration.

GFZA CEO Dr Mary Awusi outlined the key pillars of the Free Zones Scheme, including its objectives, licensing process and the benefits available to companies operating under the framework.

GFZA management assured the delegation of its full support as it considers setting up operations in Ghana.

Highlighting the country’s political stability, strategic location as host of the AfCFTA Secretariat, and steady economic growth, the Authority noted that Ghana presents a competitive and secure business environment for global investors.

The Tüzun Group expressed keen interest in sectors such as manufacturing, logistics, and value-added exports, which align with Ghana’s national agenda for industrialisation and trade expansion.

The GFZA commended the company’s interest and reaffirmed its commitment to facilitating investments that promote job creation, industrial growth, and enhanced trade opportunities.
