Kurt Okraku, the President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), has committed to elevating the standards at the Ghanaman Soccer Center of Excellence in Prampram.

The GFA is investing part of Ghana’s 2022 World Cup prize money to enhance the facility, which serves as the hub for its coaching education programs.

A new 40-bed accommodation facility is set to be constructed, specifically designed to house national teams, with a focus on the senior men’s team, the Black Stars.

This new accommodation aims to meet four-star quality standards, aligning with the facilities typically used by teams during their training camps.

Okraku outlined ambitious plans to develop the area into a state-of-the-art sporting complex that will nurture and showcase local talent.

“The FA will do whatever it takes to raise the standards of the facility we have here,” he said.

“And I think that what we have, even though it’s not the finished article yet, gives all of us hope that our ambition will be realized. I mean, the accommodation is top-notch. The environment is clean.

“We are committed to making more investments in accommodation, which is going to start soon. You’ll see that we are constructing a new multipurpose court.”

Earlier this week, it was also reported that the GFA is renting the accommodation facilities to the general public.
