The Ghana Football Association is set to unveil former Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan as an ambassador for Ghana’s national teams and colts football next Wednesday.
The appointment forms part of efforts by the GFA to strengthen support for the various national teams while promoting the development of grassroots football across the country. Asamoah Gyan, Ghana’s all-time leading scorer, is expected to play a key role in inspiring young footballers and supporting football development initiatives.
The former Sunderland and Al Ain striker remains one of Ghana’s most celebrated football icons, having represented the Black Stars at multiple Africa Cup of Nations tournaments and FIFA World Cups.
His unveiling is anticipated to attract significant attention from football fans and stakeholders, with many viewing the move as a major boost for youth football development. The GFA continues to push for greater investment and interest in colts football nationwide.
