The Ghana Football Association (GFA) are likely to dismiss Black Stars assistant coaches John Paintsil and Joseph Laumann.

This move forms part of plans to overhaul the technical team by bringing in more competent personnel as Ghana gears up for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

According to the report, the GFA are engaging a Belgian and a Serbian coach to replace Paintsil and Laumann.

However, the fate of head coach Otto Addo has not been determined yet, as the football governing body seeks to assemble the best coaching staff for the Black Stars.

This move aims to revive the fortunes of the Black Stars following their failure to qualify for the 2025 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco.

Otto Addo and his technical staff have faced intense backlash from the public for their abysmal performance in the qualifiers.

In the World Cup qualifiers, the Black Stars are currently joint top of Group I, with nine points from four matches.

When the qualifiers resume in March 2025, the Black Stars will host Chad and travel to Madagascar.
