Kurt Okraku has urged Ghanaians to continue supporting Otto Addo following the Black Stars’ qualification for a second consecutive FIFA World Cup under his leadership.
Addo, currently in his second spell as head coach of the Ghana national football team, previously guided the side to the 2022 global showpiece and has now secured a place at the 2026 tournament. Okraku described the achievement as historic, noting that Addo is the only Ghanaian coach to qualify the Black Stars for two World Cups.
Speaking to Asaase Radio, the GFA president praised Addo’s work and called for respect and unity behind the technical team.
In preparation for the tournament, the Association has bolstered the backroom staff with the appointments of assistant coaches Alain Ravera, Kim Grant and Kim Lars Björkegren, analyst José Daniel Martínez Alfonso, and performance coach Dwayne Peasah Paa Kwesi.
Ghana have been drawn in Group L alongside Panama, England and Croatia.
