Four Asante Kotoko players face disciplinary actions after being formally charged by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) for breaching the Disciplinary Code with unsporting behavior during their Ghana Premier League match against Nsoatreman FC on Sunday, February 2, 2025.

The match was marred by violence, which tragically led to the death of Asante Kotoko supporter, Yaw Frimpong.

Before the chaos erupted in the stands, tensions flared on the pitch, leading to a violent altercation among the players.

As a result, Kotoko Captain, Justice Blay, and three teammates — Mohammed Camara, Gilbani O’Neil Ndongani Samba, and Andrews Ntim Manu — have been charged for unprofessional conduct.

The charges stem from a brawl between Asante Kotoko and Nsoatreman FC players at Nana Konamansah II Park. Captain Justice Blay and Mohammed Camara were shown red cards for their involvement, while Gilbani Samba and Andrews Ntim Manu also face disciplinary action.

The four players are accused of violating Section 12(1)(j) of the 2019 GFA Disciplinary Code, which prohibits misconduct and unsporting behavior and have until Wednesday, February 5, 2025, to respond to the charges.

Meanwhile, watch as Atta Poku reveals details about the Nsoatre incident, urging clubs to boycott Ghana Premier League:
