The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has approved Asante Kotoko’s request to travel to South Africa for an international friendly match against Kaizer Chiefs.

The match, scheduled for Saturday, July 26, 2025, will be played at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban as part of the Toyota Cup.

It also serves as key preparation for the 2025/26 CAF Confederation Cup campaign, with both clubs expected to participate in the continental competition.

Kotoko head into the encounter on the back of a strong domestic finish, having recently defeated arch-rivals Hearts of Oak to win the 2025 President’s Cup. That victory added to their FA Cup triumph, capping off a great season.

The GFA, in confirming the trip, expressed its full backing for the engagement and wished the Porcupine Warriors a successful outing in South Africa.
