The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has officially announced the timeline for the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League season, outlining key dates to guide clubs and stakeholders in their preparations.
According to the FA, the new campaign will kick off over the weekend of September 4–7, 2026, and conclude between May 28 and 31, 2027, in line with the approved national football calendar. The schedule maintains the current structure, with most league matches set to be played on weekends, while midweek fixtures will be reserved strictly for outstanding games.
The GFA emphasized its commitment to ensuring a smooth and efficient execution of the season, building on recent efforts to improve organization and competitiveness within the domestic league.
Officials noted that the early release of the calendar is intended to give clubs, players, and other stakeholders ample time to plan effectively for the upcoming season. This includes preparations related to logistics, player management, and commercial activities.
The announcement is expected to bring clarity and stability as Ghana’s top-flight clubs begin gearing up for another competitive Premier League season.
