Friday the 13th of March, Dragon Fire Boxing hits the Metro City Arena for the first time this year for Thunderdome 53 with a stacked card.
One of the prospects coming through is heavyweight, “Big Bad” Michael Bazley.
Having stole the show on Thunderdome 52, Bazley returns and is ready to put on another great performance.
Lets get to know Big Bad Bazley:
“By day I’m a real estate agent, helping people and being part of some of the highlights of their lives. By night I’m in the ring, talking with my lefts and rights instead of words. I’m ambitious and I believe in a never say die attitude. I go in there and give it everything every time. Whether it’s in the ring or in life.
How did you get into boxing?
I got into boxing because I grew up around a troubled role model whose actions made life unpredictable. I wanted to be strong enough to hold my ground and protect those I care about. One session a week turned into six, and even though they passed away before I could confront that past, the fire to keep fighting has never left me all these years later.”
“One of my biggest idols has always been Thomas Hearns. He was never in a boring fight and if he was in the ring you knew it was going to be awesome. His jab would bring you in and before you knew it his right hand was coming and it could shut the lights out. But it wasn’t just power it was how smart he was in the ring staying calm and knowing exactly what to do. That is the kind of fighter I strive to be.”
“My ambition in boxing is to keep pushing myself to be the best version of myself. I want to show what fighters from WA can do and help grow the sport here. The east coast has always had more attention, and I hope to bring more focus and opportunities to boxing in WA.”
“My goals for 2026 are to become the Heavyweight Champion of WA, inspire others through my journey, and put on fights people will remember. Highlight‑reel moments that show what boxing is all about. I know what the fans come to see, and if the moment presents itself, I’ll take it. Heavyweight Champion and real estate agent sounds wild but that’s me.”
