GEM Multimedia Ghana Ltd has officially ended its seven-year professional partnership with Ghanaian music duo Keche Global, bringing to a close a working relationship that began in 2019.
The company has confirmed that the agreement has reached its contractual end and will not be renewed.
The partnership, spearheaded by entrepreneur Joana Gyan Cudjoe, saw her serve as the duo’s executive producer while providing financial, managerial and professional support to help advance their careers.
Under the partnership, GEM Multimedia was involved in various aspects of Keche Global’s activities, including music production, branding, promotion and career development.
The period also marked an important phase in the duo’s efforts to expand their presence beyond Ghana, with Andrew Kofi Cudjoe, popularly known as Keche Andrew, and Joshua Kojo Ampah, known as Keche Joshua, adopting the name Keche Global.
Several songs were released during their time with GEM Multimedia, including “Odo,” “Today,” “Same Girl” featuring Akwaboah, “No Dulling” featuring Kuami Eugene, “Good Mood” featuring Fameye, and “Faya” featuring Epixode.
Despite the end of the partnership, GEM Multimedia has stressed that the decision was not the result of any disagreement between the parties.
The company stated that there was no conflict, bitterness or animosity involved, describing the development as the natural conclusion of a contractual arrangement.
Joana Gyan Cudjoe has also clarified that the end of the professional relationship will not affect her personal relationship with the members of Keche Global.
She further indicated that her family ties with Keche Andrew would remain intact despite the conclusion of their business partnership.
The separation therefore marks the end of a significant professional chapter for Keche Global, while leaving the door open for continued personal relationships between the individuals involved.
Keche Global continues to comprise Keche Andrew and Keche Joshua, who have been performing together as a musical duo for years.
