The University of Ghana Corporate Football League (UGCFL) returned on Friday, February 13, 2026, at the University of Ghana Stadium, with thrilling action in Group A.

Before the official kick-off, fans were treated to an engaging curtain-raiser featuring four diaspora halls. Dr Hilla Limann Hall and Alexander Kwapong Hall combined to face Jean Nelson Aka Hall and Elizabeth Frances Sey Hall in a lively contest.

After an evenly fought encounter, Team Alexander Kwapong/Dr Hilla Limann secured a 2–0 victory. Both goals came in the second half through Abdul-Fatau Sanusi and Stephen Kofi Adjei.

Defending champions Ghana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) began their title defence with a solid 2–0 win over Lancaster University Ghana. GCAA controlled the early exchanges, and their pressure paid off when Gideon Kamasah broke through Lancaster’s defence to open the scoring.

Kofi Aboagye soon added a second before halftime to put the champions firmly in charge. Lancaster attempted to respond in the second half, but GCAA’s defence stood firm to preserve the clean sheet.

Ghana Football Association (GFA) were held to a 1–1 draw by newcomers GOIL PLC. GOIL took the lead in the first half after an end-to-end start to the game.

GFA came back strongly after the break and levelled the score through a well-worked free kick. The move was assisted by former Asante Kotoko player Eric Donkor, with Joseph Tetteh Zuta applying the finish. Assistant Black Stars coach John Paintsil was later introduced as GFA pushed for a winner, but the match ended in a stalemate.

Bui Power Authority delivered a commanding performance to beat the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) 2–0. Williams Mensah opened the scoring, and Ebenezer Tetteh sealed the victory with a second-half goal.

Hosts University of Ghana were narrowly beaten 1–0 by the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC). Despite enjoying most of the possession and creating several chances, UG failed to convert.

GNPC capitalised on a swift counter-attack midway through the second half, with Evans Mensah scoring what proved to be the decisive goal.

The final match of the night saw Ghana Armed Forces Officers Sports Club overwhelm Stanbic Bank Ghana in a one-sided affair. Early goals from Lac Mensah AG and Lac Gabby Teye handed them a comfortable two-goal lead.

The introduction of top scorer Sgt. Michael Amu at halftime further strengthened their attack, as he quickly made his presence felt. Sgt Amoh Michael added two more goals to cap an emphatic display.

With the win, Ghana Armed Forces Officers Sports Club have now set their sights on surpassing their record of 22 goals scored during the 2025 UGCFL season.
