Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA) presidential aspirant Ivan Bruce Cudjoe has engaged members of the United Coaches Association of Ghana as part of his campaign efforts, promising reforms aimed at revitalizing the sport.

Cudjoe, popularly known as IBC, paid a working visit to the association during their meeting at the Attoh Quarshie Boxing Club, where coaches highlighted welfare concerns as a key challenge affecting their work.

While he stopped short of making firm promises, Cudjoe acknowledged the issues and indicated his willingness to address some of the immediate concerns. He also outlined plans to collaborate with the National Sports Authority to improve grassroots scouting through structured attachments across districts and regions.

On governance, Cudjoe pledged to respect the GBA constitution and uphold board decisions, stressing unity and a commitment to national interest.

He further proposed the revival of the national boxing league with stronger regional representation to produce credible champions capable of competing at Commonwealth and world levels.

Cudjoe emphasized the economic potential of boxing, noting that proper investment in athletes could yield significant returns. He also pointed to a new generation of Ghanaian boxers showing promise on the international stage, underscoring the need for renewed support and development.
