The Ghana Association of University Administrators (GAUA) has officially extended warm congratulations to Hon. Haruna Iddrisa, Esq., on his appointment as the Minister for Education.

The Association, comprising administrators from various universities across the nation, lauded the new minister for his dedication, leadership, and impressive record in governance and public service.

In a congratulatory message signed by GAUA’s National President, Michael Owusu Ansah, and General Secretary, Augustine Amissare, the Association described the appointment as well-deserved and timely, citing Hon. Iddrisa’s wealth of experience as a crucial asset in addressing challenges in the education sector.

“Education is a cornerstone of national development, and we are confident that your vision and commitment will drive significant improvements in our educational sector, inspiring both students and educators,” the statement read.

The Association also pledged its unflinching support for the new minister, emphasizing its readiness to collaborate with the Ministry of Education on plans and programs aimed at advancing tertiary education in Ghana.

GAUA expressed optimism that Hon. Iddrisa’s tenure would be marked by innovation, inclusivity, and transformative policies to uplift education in the country.

“We look forward to collaborating with your Ministry to implement the government’s vision for the tertiary education sector. Together, we can bring the perspectives of our members to bear for the benefit of all Ghanaians,” the statement added.

Hon. Haruna Iddrisa’s appointment comes at a critical time when Ghana’s education sector is seeking reforms to meet global standards and improve access and quality. Stakeholders, including GAUA, believe his leadership will bring the much-needed change to enhance education at all levels.

The Association expressed its best wishes for his success and pledged its continued support to ensure the realization of the Ministry’s goals under his stewardship.
