The Ga Mantse, King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, has attended the Commonwealth Day Service of Celebration in Westminster Abbey, London, an event that celebrates the unity and shared values of countries within the Commonwealth of Nations.

The ceremony brought together members of the British Royal Family, government officials, diplomats and representatives from across the Commonwealth.

Among the dignitaries present were King Charles III, King of the United Kingdom, and Queen Camilla.

Also in attendance were the Secretary-General of the Commonwealth, Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey; Ghana’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland, Zita Sabah Benson; and Ghana’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa.

The event formed part of activities to mark Commonwealth Day, which is observed annually by member countries of the organisation.

During the service, leaders and representatives reflected on the importance of unity, cooperation and shared values among Commonwealth nations.

The gathering also highlighted the spirit of collaboration and diversity among member states and reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening relationships within the Commonwealth.
