Head coach of Nations FC, Samuel Frimpong Manso has set his sights on nothing but victory as they prepare to face giants Asante Kotoko in what will be a very herculean clash on Sunday.
The Eagles head into the encounter with confidence, having remained unbeaten in their last three league meetings against Kotoko, recording two wins and a draw.
The Sky Blues were impressive in their last league outing, securing a dominant 3-0 win over Bechem United, with goals coming from Bechem’s ex- conjurer Emmanuel Annor, Antwi Sarpong and Richard Danso. They currently sit ninth on the table with 34 points.
They also booked a place in the FA Cup semi-final last week after defeating Berekum Chelsea 4-3 on penalties, further boosting morale in camp ahead of the big game coming up.
Frimpong Manso is, however, expecting a tough game but remains determined to secure all three points.
“We will go all out for a win. Regardless of the situation, that is our objective,” he said.
“We know it will be a tough game, and we must push ourselves beyond our limits if we want to beat Kotoko—and we are ready to do that,” he added, as Nations aim to continue their strong run against their rivals.
Nations FC will now look to carry their recent form into the game as they aim to extend their unbeaten record in the Ashanti Regional derby and strengthen their position on the league table.
