Ghanaian legend, Frimpong Manso

Ghanaian legend, Frimpong Manso, has resigned from his role as the head coach of the Black Starlets with immediate effect.

According to coach Frimpong Manso, he is stepping away to concentrate solely on Bibiani Gold Stars’ campaign in the CAF Confederation Cup and the upcoming 2025/2026 Ghana Premier League.

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) announced Manso’s departure just a month before the Black Starlets’ first tournament under his leadership.

Manso explained that attempting to juggle both roles would have compromised his effectiveness in each.

“Managing the national team alongside my club responsibilities would have stretched me too thin, and both teams deserve undivided attention,” he stated

His exit was a pragmatic choice to prioritize the historic continental campaign for GoldStars while ensuring the Black Starlets could move forward with a fully committed coach.
