Ghana star Mohammed Kudus escaped what could have been a serious injury after a bottle was thrown in his direction during Tottenham Hotspur’s 2-1 win over Leeds United at Elland Road on Saturday.

The 24-year-old winger, who joined Spurs from West Ham United in a 55 million Pounds move during the summer transfer window, scored his first goal for the North London club and marked it with his trademark celebration.

Kudus ran toward the pitchside area and sat on one of the stools typically used by photographers and ball boys – a gesture that has become symbolic of his composed style and confidence.

However, newly released footage from TNT Sports revealed a shocking moment when a bottle hurled from the Leeds supporters narrowly missed Kudus’ head as he celebrated.

The projectile flew just past his face, prompting nearby camera operators to turn in alarm to identify the culprit.

Fortunately, Kudus and his teammates avoided injury and continued their celebrations unscathed.

Spurs went on to secure all three points, with Kudus also assisting Mathys Tel’s opener in a standout performance that underlined his growing influence in Ange Postecoglou’s side.

The incident has since sparked outrage on social media, with many calling for Leeds to identify and punish the individual responsible.

Such acts of crowd misconduct have drawn increasing concern in English football, as governing bodies push for stricter sanctions to protect players’ safety.

Kudus’ goal was his first for Tottenham since making the switch from West Ham, and it further cemented his reputation as one of Ghana’s brightest exports in European football.
