Frecnh Ligue 1 outfit RC Lens have completed the acquisition of Austrian international of Ghanaian descent Samson Baidoo, bringing an end to his three-year spell at Austrian giants Red Bull Salzburg.

Baidoo joins Lens on five-year following the completion of his mandatory medical test in North of France.

Despite Salzburg receiving offers from Premier League clubs, the Ghanaian defender opted to join Lens upon conversation with Kevin Danso, a former player of Lens.

Having made meteoric rise at Salzburg, Baidoo has now embraced a new chapter in his career by joining Lens and his expected to play a huge role for the club.

Baidoo has already established himself a solid defender in the game considering his leadership skills, proven physical strength, and technical skill.

Following the footsteps of compatriot, Kevin Danso, the 21-year-old defender is poised to contribute his quota towards the success of the club.

The Austrian-Ghanaian centre-back has been handed the jersey number 6 at the French Ligue outfit heading into his debut campaign.

Baidoo joined Red Bull Academy back in 2018 before transition to senior team, where he established himself as key cog to the squad.

With over 120 games to his name, Baidoo arrives not just as a talent but as a player who is ready to compete. RC Lens fans will be eager to see what he brings to their defence.
