Chief Executive Officer of Box Office Promotions, Alex Ntiamoah Boakye, has announced that the highly anticipated rematch between Seth Gyimah and Jonathan Tetteh will take place in August at the iconic Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.

Speaking at the press launch of “The Resurrection Fight Night,” Boakye revealed that both fighters must first win their upcoming bouts to secure qualification for the blockbuster “Oseikrom Showdown.” He emphasized the importance of hosting the rematch in Kumasi, noting that Gyimah deserves the opportunity to fight in front of his home fans, just as Tetteh previously did in Accra.

The upcoming event, scheduled for April 5 at Laboma Beach Resort, will feature Freezy Macbones facing Jamil Animashaun, while Worldwide takes on Abdul Aziz Quartey for the National Light Heavyweight title.

Boakye added that the initiative marks a new chapter for Ghana boxing, aimed at increasing its appeal and creating opportunities. The event will also feature notable fighters including Alfred Lamptey, Maxwell Awuku, Joseph Commey, and Abigail Quartey.
