Nana Yaw Anim Tawiah Otumfuo Ankobeahene has passionately endorsed Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) flagbearer, citing the government’s remarkable achievements in infrastructure and education as reasons for his support.

His backing reflects a growing call for Ghanaians to critically assess the progress made under the current administration and consider its implications for the nation’s future.

Reflecting on the tangible impacts of NPP policies, Nana Tawiah highlighted the free Senior High School (SHS) initiative as a transformative program that has directly benefited his family.

“My children and nieces have recently enrolled in senior high school, and for the first time, we didn’t have to worry about tuition fees,” he shared, adding a personal dimension to the conversation. “As someone who previously bore the burden of school fees, I can’t overstate how much this initiative has eased the pressure on families like mine.”

The Ankobeahene further emphasized that the continuation of such impactful policies hinges on the NPP retaining power. “The progress we’ve seen under the NPP is undeniable,” he stated.

“If Ghanaians want this momentum to continue and for these initiatives to fully mature, we must be mindful of our choices. A change in leadership could disrupt these efforts and rob the current administration of the recognition it deserves.”
