    The Ghana Merit Awards has announced its nominations for the prestigious Best Film Director category, and this year’s list includes some of the industry’s finest talents. Among the distinguished nominees are Frank Fiifi Gharbin, the visionary force behind several acclaimed Ghanaian films; the dynamic team at Godfidence Cinema Studios; the innovative Director Sunshine S. Olawore; and the ever-impressive Director Richards.

    These filmmakers have each made significant contributions to the growth and global appeal of African cinema, and their nominations highlight a year of outstanding storytelling, artistic excellence, and cinematic achievement.

    The 2025 Ghana Merit Awards ceremony promises to be a celebration of creativity, passion, and dedication in the Ghanaian film industry.
