Ghanaian winger Frank Acheampong has sealed a move to Dalian Yingbo FC ahead of the 2026 Chinese Super League season.
Acheampong, 32, arrives on a free transfer following the expiration of his contract with Henan FC, where he enjoyed a productive stint. The former Ghana international capped off his final campaign at Henan with 14 goals and three assists, finishing as one of the club’s standout performers.
Known for his explosive pace and attacking drive, Acheampong was instrumental throughout the 2025 season and played a significant role in Henan’s run to the Chinese FA Cup final. However, they were beaten 3-0 by reigning champions Beijing Guoan in the decisive encounter.
Despite Henan’s attempts to secure him on a new deal, the ex-RSC Anderlecht forward opted for a fresh challenge with Dalian, who are aiming to bolster their squad as they look to mount a strong campaign in 2026.
Acheampong, a member of Ghana’s squad that finished as runners-up at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations, is expected to add experience and attacking quality to his new side.
