Four people have been stabbed and several injured in south London after reports of a group of ‘machete-wielding’ men running through the high street.
The attack happened on Bromley High Street after 2pm this afternoon, with Met Police officers, an air ambulance and the London Fire Brigade seen rushing to the incident.
The four people stabbed have since been taken to hospital after being treated at the scene.
The high street is currently closed both ways, from Ringers Road to Ethelbert Road, and police remain present.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: ‘We were called at 2.19pm today to reports of a stabbing on Bromley High Street, Bromley.
‘We sent ambulance crews, a paramedic in a fast response car, an incident response officer and an advanced paramedic.
‘We also dispatched London’s Air Ambulance. We treated four patients at the scene and took them all to hospital’.
