On Saturday, January 31, a Toyota RAV4 and a Toyota Hiace minibus collided head-on on the Ho-Accra Road near Anum-Asikuma, killing four individuals on the scene.

Two passengers and the drivers of both vehicles were killed.

The driver of the Toyota Hiace has been identified as Justice Adjei, better known as Bob Marley. However, the identities of the other deceased victims had still to be determined at the time of publishing this article.

Eleven passengers with varied degrees of injury were sent to the Peki Government Hospital for treatment, along with the corpses of the deceased.

Eyewitnesses informed Graphic Online that the collision occurred in the morning when the Toyota RAV4, registration number GW 3328-S, attempted to overtake another vehicle while driving from Accra. In the process, it collided with an oncoming mini-bus traveling from Ho to Koforidua.

The crash was so violent that both automobiles were irreparably damaged.

The sole recognized part of the minibus’s registration number was “ER 1223-.”

Meanwhile, authorities are working around the clock to identify the remaining deceased and injured passengers.
