A lovely four-bed detached bungalow has just gone on sale – but potential buyers may be left scratching their heads at a bizarre feature in several of its rooms.

At a brief glance, the rural detached property in Wrexham seems entirely ordinary, with a plush carpeted living room, a kitchen island and fitted wardrobes making it an attractive listing.

Indeed, the property listing even describes the home – recently added to the market for £575,000 – as an ‘exceptional property’ that ‘blends country charm with contemporary design and energy-efficient features’.

But the house’s strange feature in several of its rooms has sparked debate online amongst eagle-eyed viewers.

One thing in the listing photos has captured people’s attention: the TVs.

Situated at the very top of the walls in every room, the TVs have all been bizarrely placed as high as possible.

Some have theorised that the current owners are either partial to a recliner or are very tall.

Either way, most would get neck ache from having to crane to see the screens, which are situated directly beneath the ceiling.

The house sparked debate on TikTok as @HousingHorrors toured viewers around the bungalow and posed the question: ‘Are the TV’s too high in this house?’

The account, which has 181,600 followers and 8mn likes, said people were taking the mickey out of the homeowners for their TV placement and suggesting that they ‘get one of those beds where the TV kind of flings out at the bottom of it’ or a device that ‘cranes down from the actual ceiling’.

Some viewers found the TV placement outrageous. One user posted: ‘It’s Peter Crouch pad man’ and another: ‘That’s definitely a pain in the neck’.

Others theorised about the height of the property’s current inhabitants, as one user asked ‘Are they all giants?’

Another joked: ‘Getting a pain in the neck even looking at the pictures’ and ‘must belong to giraffes’.

Other TikTok users came to the owners’ defence, with one viewer commenting: ‘They’re that high so you can just lay in bed and watch – not that deep.’

One person disagreed and said: ‘Buy the house and do what you want with the TV!’

Another user simply put: ‘I’m more amazed at the price to live in Wrexham’.

The property, called Bakers Lodge, is in the hamlet of Rhosymadoc, near Ruabon in Wrexham.

As well as TVs perfect for tall people, the listing boasts high ceilings, a double detached garage, and four double bedrooms.

It offers 1,650 square feet of living space and is set in a plot measuring a total of 2,618 sq ft.
