Former Minister for Youth and Sports, Mustapha Ussif has lost his elder sister, Hajara Yussif.
Hajara Yussif, who died in Accra last week after a brief illness, has already been laid to rest in accordance with Islamic tradition and her Islamic funeral prayers is scheduled for Koforidua this Sunday, July 6, 2025.
The grieving former minister shared news of his family’s loss on his Facebook page as well as the funeral schedule for his sister.
“On behalf of my family, I humbly invite friends, loved ones, and well-wishers to join us in the final funeral prayers (Adua) for our beloved sister, Hajarah Yussif,” he wrote.
The funeral, according to information shared by the ex-minister, will be held at Opoku Nsiah Lane 12 adjacent White House, Mile 50 in Koforidua and the ceremony is scheduled to start at 9:00 a.m.
Mustapha Ussif, who is also the Member of Parliament for Yagaba Kubore Constituency in the North East Region, had part of his formative years in Koforidua where his parents live.
AME
