Former agent Jennifer Mendelewitsch has opened up about her split with Ghana international Mohammed Kudus, attributing the decision to family influence and a divergence in future plans.

Speaking on the situation, Mendelewitsch explained that their professional relationship ended naturally at the close of a contract cycle, when both parties had to decide whether to continue working together. According to her, Kudus ultimately chose to part ways after facing pressure from his family, a move she believes has not worked in his favour.

Mendelewitsch expressed disappointment over the outcome, insisting she had successfully managed all of Kudus’ transfers up to their separation. She suggested that the player is now “the one being punished the most” following the decision to take a different path.

The agent also made a pointed reference to Kudus’ current situation at Tottenham Hotspur, claiming the club is struggling and facing the possibility of relegation to the EFL Championship—a scenario she noted would be a first in the player’s career.

Despite her criticism, Mendelewitsch acknowledged that such developments are part of football and life, describing the situation as “a shame” and “pretty crazy.”
