Former head coach of Accra Great Olympics, Annor Walker, has passed on following a brief illness at his residence in Accra.
Walker, a CAF License A holder, had a distinguished coaching career with several clubs, including Great Olympics, Nania FC, Kpando Hearts of Lions, and Berekum Chelsea. He famously led Nania FC to a historic 2011 MTN FA Cup victory over Asante Kotoko at the Accra Sports Stadium.
In 2020, he returned to Great Olympics, building one of the club’s most competitive sides in recent years. Despite health challenges, he guided the team to the upper ranks of the Ghana Premier League.
Walker also managed the Black Galaxies, steering them to the 2023 African Nations Championship in Algeria. He is remembered for his tactical discipline, keen eye for talent, and lasting contributions to Ghanaian football.
