A man shares a warning note he spotted at a Lagos hotel after checking into a non-smoking room, stating a $250 fee would be charged for smoking inside.

In a recent video, the man @kaynixscrewedu shared a branded card he discovered in his Lagos hotel room, which outlined the type of room he booked, the smoking policy, and the consequences of breaking it.

According to the card, the room was designated as non-smoking, and any violation of this policy would result in a $250 charge added to the guest’s bill to cover cleaning expenses.

In his caption, the man mocked the hotel’s management for politely ending the warning with, “Thank you for your understanding,” despite the hefty fine.

The hotel’s strict policy has since gone viral, sparking a mix of reactions online.

While some users shared sneaky tricks guests allegedly use to smoke without detection, others expressed shock over the fee and recounted personal experiences of being fined for similar violations.

    See comments below,

@Oziskitchen Turn off the smoke detector ? Go inside the restroom? 🤣
