A trending video has caused tongues to wag as a lady set aside a portion of the family meal for her boyfriend to display her love and care.

The girlfriend @tamely3 shared on TikTok that she decided to set aside a portion while cooking for her family because she has a boyfriend.

The video shows a pot of protein stew steaming in a cooker while the lady’s hand gently stirs the stew.

She brought the stew to a boil, and served her partner his share, giving him a takeout plate with adequate protein.

Internet users found her display of care and love relatable as netizens posing as females disclosed similar experiences of feeding their partners despite the relationship going south.

Many wondered why the lady set her man’s portion from her family’s meal when he wasn’t her husband. While some pledge never to prepare meals for their boyfriends and to prioritize their families’ demands before a man’s, others applauded the lady’s action.
