    Five talented young footballers from Legionary Soccer Academy, based in Asebu-Agyendam near Cape Coast, are set to travel to Europe to further their football careers with professional Super League clubs.

    The players include Meeka Alidu Salam and Caleb Agbovi Ofoe, both defenders; Mathew Kofi Nkrumah, a midfielder; Gideon Kwaku Bonsu, a winger and Patrick Boadu Peprah, a striker have earned the opportunity after impressing with their discipline, technical ability and tactical awareness.

    Their departure marks the third batch of players from the academy to secure international opportunities outside Ghana, highlighting the steady progress and growing reputation of the institution within the Central Region’s football landscape.

    The breakthrough has been made possible through the leadership and vision of the academy’s Chief Executive Officer, Bright John Nyarko, popularly known as Football Doctor Bright111z.

    His sustained commitment to youth development and talent promotion has opened doors for many promising players, positioning the academy as a credible pathway to professional football beyond Ghana’s borders.

    Currently, Legionary Soccer Academy competes at two levels, with its first team featuring in the Central Region Division Two League (Zone 3), while its youth side participates in the Abura Asebu Kwamankese District Colts League.

    The academy continues to focus on structured training, competitive exposure and character development as part of its long-term vision to produce professional footballers.

    This latest achievement represents a proud moment for the players, their families and the wider academy community, as the five young talents prepare to begin an exciting new chapter in Europe.
