He played a key role in shaping Ghana’s sound by blending jazz with traditional Fante influences.

The late musician, who passed away at the age of 90, earned recognition across Africa and around the world.

In honour of his memory, let’s revisit some of his timeless tunes:

    Love and Death

In 1980, the late Ebo Taylor released one of his most artistic works titled “Love and Death.”

In the first minute of the song, Ebo Taylor opens with intriguing beats crafted from drums and saxophone.

The late guitarist followed the tune with a soothing voice as he narrated a love story about how he met a young lady named Afua, “a girl of his dreams.”

Ebo Taylor indeed brought his A-game on this “Love and Death” peice.
